ISSUANCE OF THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA BIOMETRIC PASSPORT

To apply for a biometric passport, personal presence is required. Biometric passports cannot be extended, once the validity of the current passport expires, a new application must be submitted.

Applications can be submitted up to 7 months before the current passport expires, except in cases where the passport is significantly damaged, contains only two blank pages, or when the individual has changed their name in the Republic of Serbia (due to marriage or administrative procedure).

Required documents (originals):

  • Previous biometric passport of the Republic of Serbia. If the previous passport is lost/stolen, a police report confirming the loss must be submitted (this does not apply to first-time applicants).
